About ICOM-Thailand

Thailand joined the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 1947 and, in compliance with the ICOM Constitution, formed the National Committee for ICOM Thailand to achieve the following goals:
1) Make recommendations and lay down guidelines for how Thailand’s museums should run.
2) Encourage and support the opening of both private and public museums.
3) Serves as a hub for academic exchange and collaboration between national and international museum groups.
4) Encourage and spread information about museum business around the nation.
