Thailand Museum Expo 2019 : Museums as Cultural Hubs: The Future of Tradition

On the occasion of Thai Museum Day 2019, The Fine Arts Department by the Office National Museums, Thailand organize the Thailand Museum Expo 2019 event under the concept “Thai Museum Community” in line with the International Museum Day concept of the International Council of Museums or ICOM, this year is Museums as Cultural Hubs: The Future of Tradition, museums as centers of cultural relations. To jointly drive towards the future at Phutthaisawan Throne Hall, National Museum Bangkok between 19 – 22 September 2019. It consists of 3 main activities:

  • Display of valuable collections at Phutthaisawan Throne Hall
  • Special exhibitions of the museum Learning resources educational institution
  • Display of innovative works in the museum field by the museum supporter group at the lawn area in front of Phutthaisawan Throne Hall. by members of the museum network Government and private agencies, temples, local communities and museum operators Total number of more than 50 cases.

This event It is to publicize the museum business in Thailand to be evident to the world community. Help stimulate Thai society to be aware of the role of museums as learning resources outside the classroom for people of all genders and ages. It also provides an opportunity for the public and museum people to exchange opinions and experiences together.
