Following The 27th ICOM General Conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 11–17 November 2025, more than 4,500 museum professionals, cultural leaders, and policymakers from around the world gathered for this important event. The meeting positioned Dubai as a vibrant global hub for cultural collaboration.
The committee has officially announced the theme for International Museum Day 2026: “Museums Uniting a Divided World.”, This theme will guide museums worldwide in their activities for the coming year. Further details about the theme will be announced at a later date.
